About Amgueddfa Lleng Rufeinig Cymru National Roman Legion Museum

It’s AD100, the Romans are occupying Caerleon (Isca), one of the furthest outposts of the Roman Empire, and they won’t be leaving for another two hundred years.

A Roman adventure awaits…
- explore the Barrack Room
- take a look at the oldest recorded piece of writing in Wales,
- see one of the largest gemstone collections found anywhere in the Roman Empire,
- get up close to a Bathstone Coffin with the remains of a 2nd/early 3rd century man
