About Cynon Valley Museum

Cynon Valley Museum is located in Aberdare, on the site of the former Gadlys Ironworks.

Join us and explore the heritage of the Cynon Valley in our permanent exhibition. The museum in addition has two temporary spaces exhibiting a mix of local and national artists and historic exhibitions. Our temporary exhibitions change regularly, there will always be something new to see!
Grab a backpack from the front desk and explore the museum through our family trails. Including Down to the Sea, a trail through time exploring how the Cynon Valley has always been connected to the sea!

Our on site cafe Green Valley Kitchen, is the perfect place to enjoy a real taste of Wales from local business and cafe Green Valley Kitchen. Who make sourcing quality local produce an essential part of their ethos.
