11-14 June 2020 - The Gottwood Festival will return to Anglesey.  Tickets to the electronic music and arts festival go on sale on 29 November 2019.

 

The Curtis Cup

12-14 June 2020. The Curtis Cup  women's international golfing tournament, will be played at Conwy Golf Club. 

Man v Horse Marathon, Llanwrtyd Wells

13 June 2020. The Man versus Horse Marathon is an annual 22 mile race, where runners compete against riders on horseback, in the Welsh town of Llanwrtyd Wells.  The event started in 1980 after a pub landlord overheard two drinkers discussing the merits of men and horses running over mountainous terrain. The course was changed in 1982 to provide a more even match between the man and the horse but it took until 2004 before a man finally beat a horse.

Slateman Duathlon  and Triathlon, Llanberis

13 - 14 June 2020.  It's the 10th anniversary of the competition. A swim surrounded with mountains, a bike course in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park and a run through an awesome slate quarry or the option of a duathlon.  The race venue is the village of Llanberis at the foot of Snowdon.

20 June 2020. Teams from all over the UK take part every year in this navigation event to raise money for charities. The challenge this year offers two routes - 20km and 40km whilst taking in some of the best views in the Brecon Beacons.

Drovers' Walks, around Llanwrtyd Wells

TBC June 2020. These walks follow in the footsteps of the Drovers of old who used to drive their sheep, cattle, pigs and geese across the mountains to the market towns of England. There is a choice of 10, 15 or 25 mile distances, through the beautiful summer countryside around Llanwrtyd Wells, using where possible some of the old Drovers' trails which still criss-cross the area.

The Cardiff Triathlon

27-28 June 2020. Located in Cardiff Bay this triathlon is one not to miss. You will swim in the legendary Cardiff Bay, cycle on flat scenic roads around Cardiff and finish with a stunning run out to the Cardiff Bay Barrage.  The Event Village and transition zone will be held on Roald Dahl Plas in front of the Wales Millennium Centre.
